About

“I’ve been painting, illustrating and designing since starting out in 1968 on the Art Foundation Course at Derby Art College, and then doing a Fine Art degree in Newcastle.

As well as creating paintings for exhibitions and private commissions, my artwork has also been used by many card and book publishers. These include: Card Connection, Jarrold Publishing, Camden Graphics, Hallmark, Simon Elvin, Oxford University Press and Cambridge University Press, Ginn and Company, House Beautiful, Good Housekeeping and the Spectator."

"Design companies and advertising agencies have also commissioned work for projects that include publications for Boots, the Port of Dover, Manchester Airport, Manweb, the National Trust, the AA and the Royal International Pavilion-Llangollen.

For sometime though I've returned totally to fine art roots, painting mostly oil on canvas but also sketching and using watercolours. While fascinated by all kinds of art past and present, my main focus at the moment is working in a fairly realistic style on a variety of subject matter - both outdoors on location, and in the studio at home in Suffolk."
